29 New Additions to Record Book
Lone Star Gridiron continues to be the gold standard for news and historical information about Texas high school football. The record books grow each year and 2016 saw many players carve their name into those history books.
Fort Worth Eastern Hills' Courtland Walton topped the 2016 additions with his 334 yards receiving in a single game against Fort Worth Polytechnic. That put him in 14th place all-time. Marc Lozoya of Laredo Alexander is the all time leader with 454 yards in a game back in 2013.
In all, there were twenty-nine (29) additions to the Texas High School Football Record Book for single game receiving yards in 2016. That list now shows 202 players. To make that list now, a player will have to have an amazing 245 receiving yards in a game.
