Roshauud Paul wins 2016 Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year

Bremond Quarterback, Roshauud Paul led the Tigers to their 3rd consecutive state championship in 2016. Paul has been the starting quarterback in all 3 games. Not only was Paul the starting quarterback during those championship game, he was a starting quarterback that went 47-0 during his high school career.

Paul finished the season completing 114 passes on 181 attempts for 2,103 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also ran for 2,904 yards and 54 touchdowns. For his career he completed 324 of 481 passes for 5,896 yards and 69 touchdowns. He also had 595 rushing attempts for 6,341 yards and 107 touchdowns.

The 1st and 2nd runners-up for the 2016 award were:

  • Jaylon Mascorro - - RB Refugio 1st Team TSWA, 2nd Team AP 1,912 yards rushing #33 in state
  • AJ Reed - RB Post 2nd Team TSWA & AP 2,512 yards rushing #6 in state
