Mike Says: Looks like another great season with Class 6A. In Division I, Converse Judson is the favorite to make it to their 12th all-time championship game and win their 7th title. They will have to make it past Katy though to get there. Judson lost in the 2014 and 2015 Semifinal games to Cypress Ranch and Galena Park North Shore by a combined total of 13 points. Allen will get revenge over The Woodlands in the other semifinal game to face off against Judson. In DII, Cibolo Steele is the favorite and we have them in a rematch with De Soto in the championship game and this time winning it. De Soto will have to make it past district mate Cedar Hill in order to be in the big game. A couple of interesting matchups in the Area round of the playoffs has #4 Cibolo Steele against #5 Austin Westlake in DII and #6 Austin Lake Travis against #1 Converse Judson in DI.

Chris Says: It will be a great story if it comes to fruition...  if everything goes perfect, two state championship titles will be coming fr0m Central Texas. Not only are both Centex powers, but Converse Judson and Cibolo Steele are literally 10 miles apart.  The last time two Centex teams won state titles in the largest division was ---years ago in 22 years ago in 1995:

5A Division I - Converse Judson 31, Odessa Permian 28
5A Division II - San Antonio Roosevelt 17, Flower Mound Marcus (Lewisville) 10

The odds of it lining up perfectly are incredibly small. Both teams have to get past some legitimate championship contenders, the least of which are not the two DFW area teams slated to face them - Allen & De Soto. The two Katy teams (Katy & Katy Cinco Ranch) we show them facing in the Semis too could easily reach the hallowed ground of AT&T Stadium.  Before any of that however, these two would have to knock off Austin powers, Austin Westlake and Austin Lake Travis. Like I said... a lot has to go perfect. And before you assume all of these powerhouse squads will even reach these expected levels, rest assured that there will be an upset along the way even before that.
