For two consecutive years district rivals Navarro and Wimberley have met in the Region IV Finals in Class 4A DII. Despite having 591 yards in offense Navarro fell to Wimberley 35 to 14. The outburst of offense was negated by 5 turnovers and 10 penalties.
The Texans avenged their earlier loss this year to Navarro and Wimberley will now face Carthage in the Semi Finals and Navarro finishes the year at 11-3 which is their 9th 10+ win season in a row
