- Tide Haven: Currently rebuilding under Coach Lucio; set to host Ganado in their season opener.
- Edna: Outscored Calhoun 6 to 1 in their opening scrimmage. They face a tough district opponent in Columbus later this season.
- Yoakum: Scrimmaged Franklin. Coach Bo Robinson will host a weekly show on the network all season.
- Bay City: Shined in their scrimmage against Victoria West; quarterback Ke’Marian Wiggins showed off a “rocket for an arm” alongside impressive team speed.
- Columbus: Highly loaded roster; considered a favorite to win the 3A Division 1 title.
