Lubbock Coronado Replaces Butch Henderson With Ex Sweetwater Coach

2011 Coaching Change: Lubbock Coronado Mustangs
Old Head Coach: Butch Henderson -- Was reassigned after leading the Mustangs for the last 23 years to a 139-107-0 record. Nine of his teams made the playoffs. Henderson has an all-time record of 185-142-1 which puts him at #114 on the all-time coaching wins list.
New Head Coach: Kent Jackson -- From Frisco Heritage where he led the Coyotes to an 0-10-0 record during their first year of varsity play. Jackson started his career as a head coach at Roby for 1 season (1987). From there he went to Odessa High where he coached as an assistant from 1988-1994. In 1995, he took over at head coach at 2A Olney where he led the Cubs to an overall 45-21-1 record from 1995-2000. From there he left for Sweetwater where he led the 3A Mustangs to a 78-26 record over 8 years. His 2005 team made it to the semifinals. He left for Frisco Heritage in 2009.
