2011 Coaching Change: Daingerfield Tigers

Old Head Coach: Barry Bowman -- Left for 3A Paris. He led the Tigers for three seaosn winning three consecutive state championships with an amazing record of 44-3!! He was also Head Coach at Bullard from 2001-2003 where he led them to a 14-16 record. After that Bowman was an assistant at Longview Pine Tree. His all-time coaching record is 58-19.

New Head Coach: Aric Sardinea -- Has been the offensive coordinator at 5A Rowlett for the past six seasons. This will be his first head coaching job.

Team News: The Tigers have had 3 Consecutive 1 loss seasons that ended with winning a state championship (all 3 losses have been to 3A Gilmer). They have had Non-Losing seasons 16 of last 17 seasons. The Tigers may have one of the best teams ever in 1983. They outscored their opponents 632-8 on the way to the 1983 state title. They only allowed 1 TD to Carthage and a saftey to Kilgore.
