2011 Coaching Change: Leander Lions
Old Head Coach: Steve Gideon -- Retiring after leading the Lions to a 67-30-0 record over the last 8 years. He has also been a head coach at 3A Athens in 1999 1 year 0-10 and 1A Munday 1994-1996 3 years 23-10-1. He has an all-time coaching record of 90-50-1. He leaves Leander at the leader in all-time coaching wins for the Lions. His son, Blake is the starting safety for the University of Texas Longhorns. Blake played for the Lions from 2004-2007.
New Head Coach: Clint Harper -- Was the Lions offensive coordinator.
Team News: The Lions have had 10 consecutive non-losing seasons.
