Mike Says: This game will feature 2 of the states best 1A running backs. The Punchers bring in David Mora while Ganado will feature Josh Labay. In the pre-season I ranked Mason #2 and Ganado #3. Both of these teams lost to Goldthwaite last year in the playoffs. Ganado has gotten over that hump this year. They went to the Semifinals in 2008 & 2009 losing to Traylon Shead led Cayuga teams both times. I had Mason ranked higher in the pre-season but Ganado is on a mission. The INDIANS win 28-27!!!

Chris Says: This is clearly the biggest game since... well, since Euless Trinity vs Allen.  Okay, that wasn't so long ago but that's how it is in Texas high school football - the greatest sport in the greatest state!  Each and every week (especially come playoff time) you can count on a battle for the ages between two great programs.  It was my ranking of Ganado (#2) that put them ahead of Mason (#3) in our pre-season championship predictions.  This will be a close game between two of the best teams in 1A D1, but the INDIANS take the win 28-24!!!
