San Antonio Alamo Heights Hires Successor to Don Byrd

2012 Coaching Change: San Antonio Alamo Heights Mules
Old Head Coach: Don Byrd -- Leaving for San Antonio Central Catholic. He coached the Mules for 17 years going 147-59-0. Coach Byrd led the Mules to the 2006 Class 4A Division I state title. Before taking over as head coach he was an assistant beginning in 1984.
New Head Coach: Mike Norment -- was the Mules Offensive Coordinator. He has coached the Mules for the past 16 years.
Team News: The Mules have had 12 consecutive winning seasons going 112-39. They will remain in District 27-4A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Boerne Champion, Buda Hays Consolidated, Kerrville Tivy, Kyle Lehman, Lockhart, Schertz Clemens and Seguin.
