Lone Star Gridiron

Crockett Bulldogs @ Lexington Eagles

Texas high school football game of the week

Carthage vs Lexington

Crockett Bulldogs (0-0)

LSG All-Time Games Of The Week Record (1-1)

Lexington Eagles (0-0)

LSG All-Time Games Of The Week Record (0-0)

This will be the first meeting between these two teams

  • Mike Says: Crockett will break in a new coach this game with Joe Kettler taking over. Lexington head coach Jason Holcomb will be going for his 100th all-time wins (all at Lexington). The Bulldogs bring in a strong offensive line and their star Michael McKnight. The Eagles feature quarterback Kogan Garrett and WR/DB Jason Washington. Last year, Lexington was upset by Smithville 21-27 during the opening game. They will not let that happen again. Coach Holcomb gets his 100th win. The EAGLES win 28-21!!
  • Chris Says: This is a tough one to call.  Crockett is the larger school and a DI team ranked #10.  Lexington is the smaller DII school, but ranked #3.  There is not a lot of difference in those.   I am literally going to toss a coin on this one.  Okay... it looks like Crockett wins the toss.  The BULLDOGS take the win 28-21!!

Are you a fan of either team? Call the voicemail line and leave a message about the game (713) 568-6361. Tell everyone at your school to do the same – then listen in future Lone Star Gridiron Shows to hear them all!!!
