Notes:
The Elks made it to the semifinals last season and won a championship in 2008 after dropping to 1A. They play in what might the toughest 1A district as they battle Canadian and Sunray for the district crown. The Elks play a very tough pre-district matchup against one the best 2A Division I teams in Bushland. They return two all-state offensive players which should lead them to an 8-2 or 9-1 regular season and then another trip to at least the quarterfinals. Expect them to be overlooked just because of how tough their district is, but come playoff time the Elks will shine.
