Week 6 — Highlights

The Woodlands held off a 2nd half Lufkin comeback to get a big 49-33 win and LSG was there!! Everyone was shocked to see The Woodlands dominate the 1st half and take a 28-7 lead to halftime. Lufkin came out in the 2nd half though and took over the game and stormed back to only be down by 2 points 28-26 in the middle of the 3rd quarter. The momentum swung back over to
The Woodlands side after that last Lufkin score when they had to settle for a FG instead of getting the TD and the lead. Led by RB Daniel Lasco who had missed most of the season due to an ankle injury, the Highlanders took control and pulled away with the win. Highlander LB Garret Hope had a huge game...it seemed like he was in the Lufkin backfield all night long.

Katy Cinco Ranch also held off a comeback attempt as they beat Houston Memorial 35-28....LSG was there!! Cinco Ranch looked to have things under control with a 35-14 lead in the 4th quarter. The Mustangs from Memorial had other ideas though as they stormed back with 2 TDs to make it 35-28. Memorial then started marching down the field as time was counting down. Cinco Ranch finally nailed the game down with an interception at their 10 yard line with 47 seconds left in the game.
