CLASS 5A REGION III DIVISION II REGIONAL PLAYOFF GAME

The winner will play the winner of the Port Arthur Memorial/Houston Memorial game in the Quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

These schools have met up twice in the playoffs and Katy has won with no problem both times.

Mike Says: La Porte won in their big matchup earlier in the year against Port Arthur Memorial. I became a believer. But not a believer that thinks they can beat Katy (Sorry Bulldog fans). Katy is a machine. They were tested last week by a talented and prepared Cypress Woods team. Each time you thought Cypress Woods had the Tigers down, they came roaring back. This one will be closer than the previous years but Katy will still win big. The TIGERS win 42-21!!!

Chris Says: These teams won the first and second weekly FAN CHAMPIONSHIPS to end the regular season, so they both have fanatic followers. Regardless of who wins, it will be an electric atmosphere when they take the field at Tully. If you want to understand Texas high school football - go to THIS game! As much as I love the La Porte Bulldogs this season, I just can't pick against Katy until they lose a game. Katy TIGERS win 24-18!!!
