Mike Says: Alvarado is in their first every championship game and they are on a roll. Their closest game was a 21 point win over defending champion Henderson. They are led by runnning back Wayne Onderdonck (2,887 rushing yards 28 TDs), OL/DL Jake Glasscock (43 Pancake Blocks, 28 tackles, 5 sacks), LB Marcus Villarreal (175 tackles, 3 sacks), DL A.J. Castillo (70 tackles, 8 sacks) and DB Tyler Bates (45 tackles, 8 INTs). Tyler Chapel Hill is back after losing to Henderson last year in the champioship game. QB Avery Saenz is back and dangerous as ever. He leads an offense that averages over 500 yards a game. They have had some close ones in the playoffs winning their last 3 games by a total of 22 points. On paper, it may look like Alvarado has the advantage. I picked Tyler Chapel Hill to win it all in the pre-season and I will not back away now. The BULLDOGS win 28-21!!!
Chris Says: I have been a fan of Alvarado all year and Wayne Onderdonck not only has the coolest last name in all of Texas high school football, but the kid can rack up some yardage. Tyler Chapel Hill is the obvious choice here, but it is time for a changing of the guard. Alvarado INDIANS win 31-24!!!
