Mike says:  Here is what we wrote back in August "They will come up a little short to Argyle who will play in their second. On the other side, Wimberley will deny Coldspring-Oakhurst their third chance at a title. In the championship game, Wimberley will get their second ever championship after winning one in 2005 over Gainesville."    This game will feature two pretty good quarterbacks in Wimberley's Brady Lambert and Argyle's Austin Aune.  These two teams have taken out very good teams like Carthage, Gilmer, Devine and Coldspring-Oakhurst so they are both very deserving of a state championship.  Only one can win though.  The TEXANS win 28-24!!!

Class 3A Pre-Season Championship Predictions

Chris says:  The difference will come down to one player - Brennen Blakemore.  Although he is not getting a lot of attention around the state, he has the intangibles that win games and championships. Whether he is making amazing grabs as a receiver or just playing shutdown defense in the other side of the ball, he is a winner.  Coach Weldon Nelms has put together a team of players that "just do it," and Wimberley is having a great season because of it.  TEXANS win 32-24!!!
