Mike Says: We picked Cibolo to be here but no one expected to see the Wildcats from Spring DeKaney to be here. This game will feature two explosive offenses. Tommy Armstong leads the strong running game of Cibolo Steele while Trey Williams leads the strong running game of Spring DeKaney. Both of these schools are fairly new. Cibolo began varsity play in 2006 and DeKaney started in 2008. I have already picked DeKaney to lose several times in this playoff run and they are still around. I am going to pick against them again. The KNIGHTS win 30-20!!!!
Chris Says: I am going to go with the upstart. Trey Williams is an absolute beast! While I really like Cibolo Steele, I just don't think they have an answer for Williams. If he is on - he will run away with the game (literally.) It is a gamble, but you can't always take the safe bet. I think Cibolo Steele is a stronger team top to bottom and I know Michael Jinks is one of my favorite coaches, but sorry, Coach Jinks - I just can't go against Trey Williams the way he has been playing. Spring DeKaney will surprise a lot of folks in what may be the quickest trip from brand new team to state champion! The WILDCATS win it 42-35!!!
