2012 Coaching Change: Deweyville Pirates

Old Head Coach: Russell McDaniel -- Leaving after leading the Pirates for the past 4 years to a 15-23 record.

New Head Coach: Chris Babin -- Was the offensive coordinator and assistant at 4A Lumberton for the past 7 years. His only other head coaching position was one season at 4A Houston Scarborough where he led the Spartans to a 2-8 season.

Team News: The Pirates have not made the playoffs since 2006. They will be moving to District 12-2A Division II from 10-2A Division II with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Anderson-Shiro, Corrigan-Camden, Groveton, Hemphill and New Waverly.
