Coaches Comments: To see our team mature physically and mentally. Fill some big shoes due to lost of sr. Hopefully stay healthy in preseason and peck in district. Give ourselves a chance in a tough district and regional. We look to compete for a playoff spot as long as we can stay healthy, get faster and stronger. All five teams in the district should battle for the two playoff spots. No surprises, their all good quality teams.

  • Mike Says: The Mountaineers made a good run last year. They do not bring back a lot of starters from that Quarterfinals but they do bring back their top star in Michael Valencia. He is 6-Man's top returning rusher. Look for him to lead the way again this year which means another trip to at least the Quarterfinals for the Mountaineers.
  • Chris Says: Santa Anna had an excellent run last season and relied heavily on the moves of Michael Valencia.  He returns to a team not content to go home at the Quarterfinals.  The problem is that they don't bring back a lot of starters to Coach Norris' team.  The key will be whether or not the Mountaineers have other players step up to take the bulls-eye off Valencia's back.  If their passing game can succeed, they will be in the semis or even the championship game.  If not, they will get knocked off early, as one-trick ponies don't do well once the playoffs start in the world of sixman football.
