  • Katy TigersMike Says: Who would have thought there was a team out there that had beaten Katy 2 of their last 3 meetings. Well, The Woodlands is that team. The problem is that Katy looks really good now and they beat the Highlanders 63-10 last year. The key to this game is for the Highlanders to stop that Katy running game which stars RB Rodney Anderson who has 331 yards rushing. The Katy defense is special as always having only given up 3 points this year. The Woodlands lost a heartbreaker to Dallas Skyline in week zero and then shut out a tough Fort Bend Hightower team last week. The Katy train keeps rolling. The TIGERS win it 34-14!!
  • Katy TigersChris Says:  If you'd ask 100 people who leads the all-time series between Katy and The Woodlands, 97 would tell you Katy.  They'd be wrong.  The fact that this series is tied tells you a little something not only about the talent of these two teams, but the rivalry between these schools.  It is carried across to baseball, volleyball - you name it.  These Highlanders and Tigers ALWAYS bring their A-game when they face each other.  If Katy drops a regular season game this year, it will be this one.  I am just not brave enough to suggest it will happen.  The TIGERS take the win 31-18!!
  • Katy TigersLSG Intern Zach Says:   Earlier this week I said I don’t see anybody from the Houston area competing with Katy, and I meant it. They blanked Alief Taylor last week even after losing starting quarterback Kiley Huddleston, and have outscored their opponents 90-3 through two games. RB Rodney Anderson has done everything short of bicycle kick a field goal, though I wouldn’t put it past him. The Highlanders are due for a nice season as well, but they are overmatched here. Tigers 42-6.
