Texas City StingareesMike Says:  I think everyone in the Houston area will be at this game. Neither one of them have played a close game yet and I do not think this one will be any different. Dawson comes in owning this series but the games were always close when they played the Stingarees even when they were going through mediocre seasons. Texas City comes in with few weaknesses. The Foreman brothers have been tearing up the stat sheets. D'Onta (577 yards rushing) and Armanti (319 yards receiving) lead a high scoring offensive attack. Texas City continues to dominate. The STINGAREES win it big 42-14!!

Texas City StingareesChris Says: I can't believe I missed this one on the schedule when we did our preseason writeups.  Talk about a "wow" game.  Actually, in the preseason I think I was one of the few people in the state taking Texas City seriously.  Well, this is the time for them to show what they are made of.  Which one of these two squads is for real?  Which one is a pretender?  I think the STINGAREES stand up 38-28!!

Texas City Stingarees LSG Intern Zach Says:   He who emerges unscathed from this one will win the 24-4A crown. As expected, the Stingarees and Eagles have both been handling their opponents all year to set up this potentially classic matchup. All eyes will be on the skill players, with running back Brett Winnegan and receiver Tony Upchurch leading Dawson against the multi-talented Foreman twins of Texas City. All four will have big games, but there is one team that is clearly more ready for this game and that is Texas City. The Stings are experienced and talented across the board, which will show through in a big way at home. Stingarees 45-31.

Pearland Dawson EaglesLSG Intern William Says:  This game is featuring two top 4A teams with undefeated records, Texas City has an excellent senior class led by Armanti Foreman and D'Onta Foreman and it has shown as the started out 4-0 this year. However they have yet to play a team over a .500 winning percentage. Pearland Dawson enters this contest winning last year 32-29 and are led this with a running game that features Tony Upchurch and Winnegan. Pearland Dawson with their explosive running game gets the edge in another close game. Eagles win 28-24.

Texas City StingareesLSG Intern Scott Says:  Dawson relies on a strong ground game behind Brent Winnegan and also has LSU commit Tony Upchurch, who had 164 yards and a touchdown receiving while adding two rushing scores in a victory over Santa Fe. Texas City has plenty of talent, led by running back D’Onta Foreman and wide receiver Armanti Foreman. The Foreman brothers are committed to Texas. Texas City has too much firepower and too strong of a running back. Texas City takes it, 45-32.
