Mike Says: Class 4A is always a lot of fun to watch. The teams are very competitive with no clear favorites. Looking at Division I, we have two teams that some call surprise teams making it to the championship game. Kennedale has never been in a championship game but this could be their year to win it all. They have the talent with 16 returning starters from a 12-1 team. That makes it back to back 12-1 seasons to extend their winning streak to 16 years. They have paid their dues. After five mediocre years China Spring made it back to the top last year with a 12-2 record and a trip to the Quarterfinals where they lost to eventual state champion Waco La Vega. That 13-4A DI will be tough with China Spring (our #3), Waco La Vega (our #5) and Liberty Hill (our #11) in it. We have China Spring coming out of that district and then getting revenge over Waco La Vega in the Quarterfinals. We have Argyle who made it to the Semifinals last year and Navasota both falling in the Semifinals this year. They played that great double overtime championship game in 2014. In Division II, we have a re-match of last years championship game with the prediction of the same result. It will be another great one as we have West Orange-Stark over Celina. A couple of newcomers to the big stage fall in the Semifinals. We have Sweetwater and Geronimo Navarro who both fell in the Regionals last year set to have great seasons.

Chris Says:  The Celina vs Gilmer matchup is set to happen once again in what has become one of the best postseason series.  Celina looks set to return to the title game against West Orange-Stark and we expect a very similar outcome. Don't be surprised however if you see something special out of a team like Geronimo Navarro instead.  In DI, we are looking at a whole new host of teams and outcomes.  We have Kennedale and China Spring showing up in the title game with Kennedale grabbing the title.  This is a bracket that could be busted wide open as teams like China Spring look great but their region is so loaded that even if they slip up a bit, they could fall way short of expectations.
