Texas High School Football Stat Leaders 2016 Week 9
As you know, Lone Star Gridiron rules the roost when it comes to keeping track of the top performers across the state. Currently, we list 20+ of the leading passers, rushers and receivers in the state. This list will grow each week and their totals will grow until we crown the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yardage!
Levelland's Nick Gerber stayed at the top of the passing leaders chart. He has a 628 yard lead over 2nd place. Pampa's Brandon Steward moved into 2nd place moving Robinson's Chase Allison into 3rd place by 10 yards. We have 23 passers listed with #23 having 2,203 yards.
Mansfield's Kennedy Brooks took over 2nd place with a 306 yard performance this week. That makes 3 consecutive 300+ yard games. El Paso Parkland running back Sophomore Deion Hankins moved down to #2 by only 89 yards. El Paso Americas Joshua Fields remained in 3rd place. We have 31 runners listed with #31 having 1,305 yards. Eight runners have made it to the 1,500 yards mark.
Robinson's Braxton Ashcraft kept the receiving lead and Beeville Jones's Waydale Jones stayed in 2nd place. We have 22 receivers listed with #22 having 925 yards. There are 11 receivers that are over the 1,000 yard mark.
