Mike Says : West Orange-Stark took out my #2 team Wimberley and Pleasant Grove took out my #4 team Graham last week. It will be hard to pick against Pleasant Grove who beat our pre-season #1 Gilmer in district play. West Orange-Stark may not be as good as they have been in the past but their experience in the big game earns them the win. West Orange-Stark wins their 3rd consecutive title.
Chris Says : I've had West Orange-Stark tied for #1 in my rankings for most of the season and Pleasant Grove right behind them so we are looking another extremely difficult choice here. Follow my logic here... Cuero was also tied at #1 but Wimberley knocked them off. Then WOS took care of Wimberley so that leaves them. I know that Pleasant Grove is one heck of a team but I haven't seen them play in person this year and although I think they had a tougher playoff path, I just can't make myself pick against any Cornel Thompson led team. My stats say Texarkana Pleasant Grove but my gut tells me West Orange-Stark. The gut wins.
