Rockwall-Heath will have to play their Quarterfinal game against Sulphur Springs this Friday without one of the states best running backs. Kendial Lawrence injured his shoulder in the second quarter of Rockwall-Heath's 17-14 victory over Ennis last Friday.
Lawrence, a senior has rushed for 2,679 yards and 43 touchdowns this season. He has rushed for more yards and scored more touchdowns than any other 4A or 5A running back in the Dallas area. He is being recruited by several Big 12 and Pac-10 schools and is a big reason why Rockwall-Heath (13-0) has advanced to a matchup with Sulphur Springs (11-2).
The 23rd ranked Hawks will be playing the Wildcats from Sulphur Springs at 7:30 Friday night at Texas Stadium.
