Notes:
The Chaparrals had a breakout season last year under the direction of a Texas legend. Coach G.A. Moore came in with a bang last season. His Aubrey defense began the season with five (5) consecutive shutouts. The Chaparrals will be facing a big challenge though moving up to 3A for the first time in the schools history. Coach Moore will rely on QB Wursten and RB Craig to lead the offense while All-State DL Robbins heads up the defense. The step up to 3A will be difficult but expect the Chaparrals to go 7-3 or 8-2 in the regular season and go two or three rounds in the playoffs. Everyone will be watching when Coach Moore plays his old team Pilot Point in district play. Pilot Point won 35-14 last season.
