2012 Coaching Change: Tyler John Tyler Lions
Old Head Coach: Dereck Rush — Leaving for 5A Conroe Oak Ridge. He led the Lions for the past 5 years to a 42-23 record.
New Head Coach: Ricklan Holmes -- Was an assistant with the Lions since 2007. He is a Lion graduate and played college ball at Oklahoma State and pro ball with the New England Patriots.
Team News: The Lions have had 3 consecutive 11+ win seasons. They will be moving to District 16-4A from 14-4A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Corsicana, Jacksonville, Lindale, Nacogdoches and Whitehouse.
