Week 1 Highlights vs. Fort Bend Hightower
- Mike Says: This is going to be another great one in the Houston are. Both of these teams bring lots of discipline and great play. Katy will feature RB Adam Taylor (154 yards) on offense and DB Isaiah Brown on defense. The Woodlands will look to push the Tigers around with a very good offensive line led by Sam Kronshage and Jonathan Huckins. Both of these teams were tested last week and both came out strong. The Woodlands have won the last 2 but Katy is too good. The TIGERS win 28-21!!
- Chris Says: If someone would have just walked up and told me that The Woodlands beat Katy the last two times they played, I would have done a double-take and doubted it. It's true though. Although this appears to be setup for another Highlanders win, I just can't buy into it. Sure, The Woodlands has the talent do get the job done. Sure, playing Katy is a big deal for any team. Sure, the Highlanders are playing at home. Sure, Katy hasn't really been challenged in any of their games this year. Sure, sure, sure. You know what though? I just can't pick against this Katy squad. The Woodlands does have a very good team, but you've heard me say it every single year - Katy has a good "program" as well as a good team. The TIGERS win 28-17!!!
