Mike Says: Cibolo Steele comes in with a 27 game winning streak and as the defending Class 5A Division II champion. Port Arthur Memorial got a huge win last week against La Porte. I don't know what to think about the Titans. I am 0-2 when predicting the games they are in. I had them beating La Porte in week 9 and they lost. I then picked them to lose to La Porte and they won. This is a matchup of two great quarterbacks. Steele's Tommy Armstrong and Memorials Terrence Singleton can light up the scoreboard. The KNIGHTS win 28-13!!!

Chris Says: Cibolo Steele is the obvious choice here because they have been more consistent this year AND they are coming off a state championship from a year ago.  A lot of people thought Steele would slide a lot this year because of changes on the team, but 14-0 doesn't seem like a slide at all.  Port Arthur Memorial surprised a lot of folks to be doing this well, this long.  Coach Michael Jinks has his team firing on all cylinders and it is tough to pick against them.  It comes down to the fact that I know a lot about Cibolo Steele and not that much about the Titans of PA Memorial.  The KNIGHTS win 28-21!!!

This will be a test for both teams. Cibolo Steele has not played anyone this season with the talent that Port Arthur Memorial has. Port Arthur Memorial has speed on both side of the field and that will make it an exciting game. There is to much speed for them even thought they say they have played against speed all year long. Port Arthur Memorial will have to stop the run of Cibolo Steele, in which they have been averaging 280 yards per game. They area also good this year. One thing i can say is last year is a distant memory for steele, and it doesn’t count for this year. If Port Arthur Memorial comes out clicking on all cylinders it will be a long night for a former State Champion.

    Port Arthur Memorial 30
    Cibolo Steele 21

Thats my predication and I stand by it.

    Thanks

I like that prediction! I hope you’re right! I can’t tell you how excited I am about this game. PA does have the speed and well… Let’s just say I don’t know what kind of speed teams Cibolo has dealt with, but let’s just say the only thing PA does slow is cook gumbo! They even eat it fast because that’s just how they
roll! PA has the outside locked down and people don’t give their secondary enough credit. They play man 2 man very well. I think this game will be a battle of the inside, quick passes and the big fella’s up front. Both teams have superstars at every position on both sides of the ball. The line will determine who breaks down first. So who will be ready on Saturday? I can’t wait to find out!
