Mike Spradlin led the Temple Wildcats to their first state championship since 1992, compiling a 32-15 record in his four years there. Spradlin is building a reputation for taking floundering teams and turning them into winners. He took a 1-9 team that hadn't been to a state title game in more than 20 years (1992) and brought them to the title game in 2014.  Spradlin was previously the head coach at Abilene Cooper, Midland Christian, Navasota and Round Rock Westwood.  He was also the offensive line coach at the University of Houston.
